-AIDT leadership skills training will be March 10-11 at 8:30 a.m. at Northeast Alabama Community College’s workforce development building in Rainsville.

-A gold buy will be March 10-11 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the DeKalb Regional Medical Center lobby. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

-A Red Cross blood drive will be March 11 from 2-7 p.m. at the Collinsville Study Club at 4276 Highway 68.

-DeKalb retired employees will meet March 11 at 10 a.m. at the DeKalb County Council on Aging. Sheriff Jimmy Harris will be the guest speaker.

-The Optimist Club’s Singing for Youth event will be March 12 at 6 p.m. at the DeKalb Theatre, featuring community voices and the Fort Payne High School Choir. Tickets are $5 and proceeds benefit Race to Embrace.

-R’Ides of March charity poker run to benefit the Collinsville Historical Association will be March 13 at 8:30 a.m. at 80 Main Street in Collinsville. Call 524-2555.

-Claudia Oakes, director of the Chieftains Museum in Rome, Ga., wil be the guest speaker and the DeKalb Genealogy Society meeting March 13 at 10 a.m. at the DeKalb County Library.

-A new grief support group will have its first meeting March 13 at the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce office. Call 418-0620.

-The DeKalb County Bridal Fair will be March 13 from 1-5 p.m. at Minvale Life Center in Fort Payne. Admission is $5 in advance or $7 at the door and proceeds benefit the Women’s Care Center. Call 845-0838.

-A storm spotters class will be March 16 at 6 p.m. at the Activities Building in Fort Payne.

-The DeKalb County Democrat Women will meet March 18 at 6 p.m. at Golden Rule Barbecue. The speaker will be Miranda Joseph, candidate for state auditor and new officers will be installed.

-The Northeast Alabama Home and Garden Show will be March 20 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum. Free parking and admission.

-A Red Cross blood drive will be March 23 from 2:30-7 p.m. at the Ruritan Building in Henagar.

-A diabetic class will be March 24 from 3-5 p.m. in the overflow dining room at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. Call 997-2587.

-A Healthy Woman Lunch and Learn will be March 24 at noon at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. The topic will be women’s imaging and health.

-The annual spring DeKalb County Library Book Sale will be March 25-29 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Fort Payne City Hall Auditorium.

-Mt. Hermon Baptist Church will host an Outdoor Expo on April 3 at the DeKalb County Coliseum. Various vendors featuring outdoor and hunting equipment and supplies will be on site. The event begins at 3 p.m. Special music by Brothers and Others begins at 5 p.m. and Phil Robertson aka “The Duck Commander” will speak at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more info, call 256-630-2605.
