Riding the rails was a fun experience

There was a thick, dense fog the morning my mother, sister and I arrived at the depot in Chattanooga. We couldn’t see more than a few hundred yards in front of us.

After arriving at the station, we walked through the doors and found a lobby filled with old railroad memorabilia and wooden benches, the kind with the seat dividers on them, for travelers waiting on their train. There was a vintage-looking ticket window, with the bars.
