Fort Payne City Hall was evacuated Monday afternoon after a bomb threat was made. An investigation was under way.

The threat was phoned in shortly before a session of municipal court was set to begin.

Mayor Larry Chesser and police Chief Randy Bynum were unavailable for immediate comment.
