Run for a merry Christmas

Posted: Tuesday, December 4, 2018 8:30 am | Updated: 8:31 am, Tue Dec 4, 2018.

Susan Smith Mitchell, of Fort Payne is partnering with First United Methodist Church and the community for the annual Santa Dash project to raise funds to ensure more children have a merry Christmas.

Mitchell said she and Marcie Davis started the Santa Dash project five years ago, initially charging for runners to participate, but it has grown so that the sponsorships and private donations are all that Mitchell asks for from community members.
