Sylvania Child pinned between bus and crossing gate

Taken to hospital; no serious injuries reported

A second-grade student at Sylvania School was pinned between a crossing gate and a moving bus Monday morning.

According to Sylvania Police Department officer Ross Greenwood, the bus driver was unable to see the child and unaware she was trapped in the gate. The driver continued the route and stopped when he saw the child’s father chasing the bus.
