Posted: Thursday, January 19, 2012 4:31 pm

The Alabama Department of Public Safety released the details of an aerial rescue that took place on Little River last Friday morning.

On Jan. 12, April Bryant, her two children and a friend, Jason Reynolds, were traveling off road in a Jeep and attempted to cross rain-swollen Little River near the Hartline Campsite in the backcountry of Little River Canyon National Preserve. The Jeep was swept downstream and became stuck on submerged rocks 30-40 feet from shore.
