Mrs. Betty Ann Fielder, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012.

She was born Sept. 2, 1946, to Moses and Mary Prater. She was a member of New Testament Holiness Church of Alabama.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Fielder; children, Charlotte Fielder, Andrew Fielder and Shelia Fielder, all of Fort Payne, and Rodney (Stacy) Fielder, of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Blake and Whitney Fielder, of Scottsboro, and Shoshanna Ordonez, of Fort Payne; sisters, Jessie (Joe) Underwood, Mary Hickman, Louise (Bruce) Jelks, Nellie (William) McElrath, and Nancy (Anthony) Thompson, all of Fort Payne, and Sharon McElrath, of Georgia; brothers, Floyd (Christine) Prater, and Earl (Emma) Prater, of Ohio, and A.C. (Pearl) Prater, Edward (Wanda) Prater, Carl (Kathy) Prater, Johnny Prater and Bryan McElrath, all of Fort Payne; brother-in-law, Randy Jelks, of Fort Payne; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Jelks; brothers Moses Prater Jr., Thomas Prater and Rufus Prater, all formerly of Fort Payne.

The wake was at Adams and Buggs Funeral Home in Gadsden, Ala., on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 6-7 p.m. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Faith in Christ Church with the Rev. Walter Turner officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
