Robert Wayne Cooper, of Rainsville, died Monday, July 8, 2013, in Scottsboro.

Robert Wayne Cooper, of Rainsville, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, at Cloverdale Manor in Scottsboro.

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Mountain View Memory Gardens with the Rev. Cates Noles officiating and Rainsville Funeral Home Inc. directing. (Online: rainsvillefuneralhome.com)

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, July 11, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

He was the son of the late Carl and Ruth Cooper, who lived in Rainsville.

He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Weyman and Suzanne Cooper, of Rainsville, Doyle and Carrie Mae Cooper, of Fort Payne, and Rayand Eva Joy (Irons), of Boaz; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel Davis and Alex Walker, of Scottsboro; four nephews, David Cooper, of South Carolina, Chris Harris, of Huntsville, Jason Davis, of Boaz, and Rob Irons, of Colorado; and two nieces, Christine Steffeghean and Robin Sellers.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Arc of DeKalb County at 201 Grand Ave. SW, Fort Payne, AL 35967.
