Phillip Keith Drake, 58, passed away on November 14th, 2018 in Marrietta, Georgia. He was born to the late Samual Drake and Junella Brown Drake at Fort Payne Hospital on October 24th, 1960.

He is survived by his son, Carl Keith Drake of Manchester, Tennessee; daughter in law, Stephanie Drake; grandchildren, Kristen Shay Thames, Evan Bryce Drake, Victoria Allen, Brittany Allen and Jamie Franklin Drake; sisters, June Drake Green of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and LeeAnne Drake Hobbs of Savannah, Georgia; several cousins and many nephews and nieces.

Phillip will always be remembered as a mild mannered and kind man. He was quick with a smile and everyone that spent time with him liked him. He was a bright and intelligent young man in his youth with dreams of being an architect and although his life took a different path Phillip always made you hope for the future. Although time and circumstances may have taken Phillip out of our everyday lives, he was never far from our thoughts and prayers.

You gave no one a last farewell,

Nor ever said good-bye.

You were gone before we knew it,

And only God knows why.

A million times we will miss you.

A million times we will cry.

If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly.

In death we love you still.

In our hearts you hold a place,

 no one else can fill.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

the day God took you home.

We will meet again someday,

I know in a better place.

I thank God he made you a part of our lives,

For a time

A brief family visitation at 12:30pm CT and funeral services at 1:00pm CT will be held on November 30th at Mountain Home Chapel at Mountain Home Cemetery; the burial of ashes to follow.
