Amendment Three Deserves Support

Posted: Tuesday, September 21, 2010 5:22 pm

People and positions are not the only things on the ballot in the upcoming election. Voters must also make decisions regarding important amendments, such as Amendment Three that could infuse the state's struggling roads and bridges with $1 billion over 10 years.

State Sen. Lowell Barron said it best when he called the passing of Amendment Three a no-brainer. And, Barron should know. DeKalb County's state senator has spent the better part of two years working on compromises in Montgomery that would allow the state, along with county's in desperate need of more road money, to make much needed improvements in infrastructure.
