Fort Payne Middle School student Luke Wells tries to never miss a home game.

Every week, the Times-Journal is looking for a Friday night football super fan.

This week’s super fan is Fort Payne Middle School student Luke Wells.

“I’ve always been competitive,” Wells said. “I like to be active. I don’t like to sit around. I just love sports.”

Wells plays center and nose guard for the Fort Payne Middle School football team. He said he tries to make it to every Fort Payne High School home game to watch the Wildcats.

“I like seeing my role models on the high school team play,” Wells said. “I like watching them and learning my position better.”

Wells said he’s looking forward to high school and becoming a varsity Wildcat.

“I love the coaches and environment,” Wells said. “They’re always trying to help you get better.

If you’re a super fan, look for a T-J photographer Friday night and show your school spirit.
