Local therapy team honored

Crossville Health and Rehab therapy team were selected as Restore Therapy’s 2019 Team of the Year.

“The Crossville team is an impressive group dedicated to excellence in service with a passion for their profession,” said Gala Ellis, LPTA Rehab Director.

The health and rehab therapy team is comprised of a well-rounded group of individuals including a Doctor of Physical Therapy, two speech-language pathologists, a registered occupational therapist, two certified occupational therapist assistants/licensed and three licensed physical therapist assistants.

According to the Crossville Health and Rehab website, the rehabilitation staff offers top-quality physical recovery services using the latest equipment and technology in their state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym.

“We also provide endoscopy and vital stim for patients with dysphagia and aural rehab for hearing loss,” Ellis said.

Among their therapy services, they afford physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy with the priority of patient’s rehabilitation.

According to Ellis, Team of the Year is selected based on consistent quality achieved in clinical programs, practice management, customer satisfaction, and commitment to profession and community involvement.

Four states compete for this distinction, which includes over 100 teams.

Ellis said the therapy team at Crossville Health and Rehab was selected with the honor of the top team.

According to Ellis the Crossville team also received Team of the Region honors before being selected as Team of the Year.

“This is the second nomination for Team of the Year, Crossville was [also] runner up with the top team in the state of Alabama honors,” Ellis said.

Along with their recently acquired distinction, the Crossville Health and Rehab therapy team was the recipient of the TOPS award for excellence in teamwork, opportunity focus, positivity, and solution-based thinking.

Ellis said other notable awards include excellence in customer service, excellence in program development, excellence in practice management, and excellence in the documentation.
