Two home invasions occurred Saturday on 13th Street NW Fort Payne, according to Fort Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum.
Terry Lynn Clark, 36, of Fort Payne, was arrested in connection with both reported invasions.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, witnesses said two women came into the back entrance of their apartment, Bynum said.
“Witnesses reported that a while female along with a juvenile white female burst into the back door of this residence looking for the renter of the apartment,” he said.
The witnesses stated the renter of the apartment was not home at that time, and they were chase the offenders out of the residence.
“Approximately two and half hours later, the offenders went back to the residence kicking in the back door and making entry into the apartment,” he said. “The offenders chased the renter and another person from the residence to a neighbor’s home.”
Clark then threw an object into a neighbor’s home on the same street, Bynum said.
Clark is charged with two counts of burglary 2nd degree, throwing an object through a glass window shattering glass onto two children, public intoxication and disorderly conduct with more charges pending.
Bynum said the bond on these charges was set at $106,500.
