It’s that time again. This weekend will be the second Third Saturday Sunset Cruise-In of the year in downtown Fort Payne.

The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. Following tradition, Third Saturday will offer a variety of food vendors, local arts and shopping.

Third Saturday Committee Member and Co-founder Amelia Landstreet said they are having a new 50/50 ticket drawing at this Saturday’s event.

Landstreet said they will be drawing from the main stage near the Southern Properties office building at approximately 8:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Saturday’s line up will feature Brant Noojin and Lee Burt at the Coal and Iron building from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Stuart Douglas at the main stage.

“Canyon Land Vocal Band will be the main event at the stage next to Southern Properties,” Landstreet said.

According to Landstreet, they are excited about more favorable weather for this weekend’s Third Saturday.

“It’s supposed to be 88 degrees on Saturday,” Landstreet said. “We are hoping the good weather stays, and we have a good turn out.”

Landstreet said the event will feature fun for the whole family with live entertainment, Kidz Zone in the Fort Payne City Park, and an array of classic cars, trucks, and motorcycle on display.

As stated on their Facebook page, other than vendors, the following restaurants will be open: The Strand, The Spot, Fontana’s, Restaurant “33” and Roadside ‘Que.

The downtown stores will also be open.
