A Collinsville man was arrested Dec. 3 with outstanding warrants, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

According to Collinsville Police Chief Gary Bowen, on Dec. 3, Officer Ada Hamilton with the Collinsville Police Department was dispatched to the 14000 block of County Road 51 in reference to a welfare check.

Bowen said Hamilton came into contact with a man later identified as 31-year-old Jason Goza, of Collinsville.

After a check for warrants, Bowen said the officer determined Goza had an outstanding felony warrant for failure to appear.

Bowen said Hamilton conducted a “terry frisk pat down” for weapons after the subject was placed under arrest.

Bowen said the officer found a white plastic baggie and a glass pipe with white residue that tested positive for crystal methamphetamine. Bowen said Goza was arrested for the outstanding warrant and also for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Goza was booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center with bonds totaling $3,000.
