Third Saturday returns; First cruise-in since 2019 honors Don Dingler, car enthusiast who died this winter from COVID-19

There was a huge turnout on March 20 for the return of the Third Saturday Sunset Cruise-In. Organizer Amelia Landstreet said the event's website had more than 15,000 visits ahead of it. The event committee recognized Don Dingler on the marquee of the DeKalb Theatre. He and his wife, Donna, were antique car enthusiasts who always participated in Third Saturday and similar events. She and other family members were on hand for the event. After retiring from Vulcraft, Don's dream was to own '55, '56 and '57 Chevys. She said he sold them when he got sick. He died on Christmas Day from COVID-19.
