Clifton and Willingham celebrate 365th run

Jerry Clifton and Pam Willingham celebrated 365 days of running in a row with a gathering of friends and fellow runners at Vintage 1885 on Tuesday morning. Clifton said the harshest conditions were a winter day when the wind chill was a single digit temperature and the wettest was during torrential rains on April 24. He said they ran for health, as well as to raise awareness of the Rainsville Freedom Run. Registration is underway for the event, now in its 11th year, which will happen June 15th. It has generated $325,000 in funds to support charities and local ministries. Thousands in prize money will be awarded to the top runners, along with door prizes. To learn more, visit
