Winners of essay contest sponsored by DeKalb Rifles Club announced

Hayden Hall, a fifth-grader at North Sand Mountain High School in Higdon, Alabama submitted the first-place essay in the annual contest sponsored by The DeKalb Rifles Camp 1824, Sons of Confederate Veterans.  Hayden received 50 brand new two dollar bills in numerical sequence. Hayden is pictured with his dad, Scott Hall. He will read his essay at a meeting of the DeKalb Rifles at a later date.
