Owen: Hopes June Jam goes on indefinitely

Lots of people will visit these statues of the Alabama Band the week of June 3, when their June Jam will return for the first time in 26 years.Â
Alabama singer Randy Owen was quoted in a fan newsletter saying, "Our wishes are that Fort Payne will take June Jam and it will go on forever. We lost Jeff and when me and Teddy are gone, hopefully the city will continue with the June Jam. We want this to continue to help the city, the town, the state, and just help people in general."
What is known about the event is that the Jam will be held at the VFW Fairgrounds. When further information is available, The Times-Journal will share it with the public.
