Collinsville Rescue Squad holds successful 'Operation: Rescue Christmas' event

The Collinsville Rescue Squad saw a successful first Christmas event helping community members this holiday season.

Their year-long fundraising initiative allowed the group to sponsor 25 kids for Christmas.

The squad held a Christmas party earlier this month for the participating children. The evening festivities included food, drinks, an elaborate holiday setup and a visit from Santa.

Kids received a sizable gift bag filled with goodies, and families were given a basket of food and fruit to take home.

The Collinsville Rescue Squad, comprised of 30 volunteers, expresses their thanks to every person and business that donated money or items to their cause.
