Local chapter helps victims of Hurricane Sally

With the southern coast of Alabama recently hit by Hurricane Sally, DeKalb County members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy came together with cleaning supplies, personal hygiene and food items to send to help with the storm recovery in the aftermath. Items were taken to Gadsden, Alabama for transport to Atmore and Orange Beach areas. In total, over 50 bags of items were prepared for distribution in the storm ladened areas by area UDC members.
