DCSO, fire association and rescue squad receive checks for uniform beacons

Alabama House Majority Leader Nathaniel Ledbetter and Dist. 8 State Sen. Steve Livingston presented Sheriff Nick Welden, Nathan Nail, president of DeKalb County Association of Fire Departments, and Mike Stone, president of the DeKalb County Rescue Squad Association, with checks for much needed beacons that will be worn by first responders on their uniforms. These beacons allow pilots to distinguish responders from victims at night, during search and rescue operations. Pictured are Livingston, Welden, Ledbetter, Stone, Nail and Matt Martin with the DCSO Aviation Unit.
