A Hero’s Farewell

The hearse carrying Fort Payne Capt. Ronnie Warren makes its way through downtown to Glenwood Cemetery. The longtime public servant will be missed this holiday season as he was director of the Community Christmas Dinner. In 2010, he became the assistant police chief and served in that position until this past January. He died on Nov. 1 at the age of 68 and his fellow officers honored him with a long procession.
