This week, 736 registered players converged on The Opelika Sportsplex to play a game that most of us probably had never heard of only a few years ago.

Some players traveled from across town, some from across the state, while others traveled across the country. None of them were paid.  Instead, they paid to play, including covering their own expenses and paying a registration fee. Although I did not play in the tournament, but it is a game that I do play, usually several times a week.
