Welcome to March Madness, Alabama. Get used to it

This is an opinion cartoon.
Crimson Tide basketball is now a thing in March, y’all. Crimson Madness is a thing.
Alabama’s little brother hoops program has quickly grown like a weed under Coach Nate Oats. This team is ready to play ball with the big boys. Hell, all of a sudden this program IS the Big Boy: SEC regular season champs. SEC tournament champs. That’s no easy feat.
Led by three home-grown seniors - Herb Jones, John Petty Jr. and Alex Reese - who came back for the love of the game and their love for each other, this is a special team. They’re the mirror image of that special Alabama football team that just won another national championship.
Award winners DeVonta Smith and Herb Jones are Crimson Tide soulmates.
I’m not saying this Alabama basketball team will win the NCAA tournament. I’m just saying don’t be surprised if they do. They are that good.
Alabama has a basketball team to be reckoned with, y’all. They’re not going away.
Enjoy March Madness. I hope you get used to it. Just don’t take it for granted. (Take it from a Kentucky fan.)
