Plainview High School’s boys tennis team won four of six singles matches and defeated Sardis 5-4 on Tuesday.

Logan Wright (8-6 at No. 3), Dylan Clark (8-5 at No. 4), Zach Stephens (8-2 at No. 5) and Jared Underwood (8-3 at No. 6) claimed singles wins for the Bears. Stephens and Underwood also prevailed 10-4 at No. 3 doubles.

GIRLS: The Lady Bears downed the Lady Lions 6-3, sweeping the doubles.

Taylor Pack and Abigail Hampton took the No. 1 doubles match 10-4, while Madison Johnson and Cassidy Hood earned a 10-5 win at No. 2. At No. 3, Casey Miller and Avery Holt prevailed 10-5.

Miller (9-7 at No. 1), Park (8-0 at No. 2) and Hampton (8-2 at No. 3) all earned singles wins.

FORT PAYNE VS. SYLVANIA: The Fort Payne boys defeated Sylvania 8-1 on Tuesday.

Jordan Harmon (8-6 at No. 1), Cameron Norsworthy (8-0 at No. 2), Dustin McMahan (11-10, 7-5 at No. 3), Ozzy Guevara (8-3 at No. 5) and Bryant Reid (8-2 at No. 6) claimed singles wins for Fort Payne.

Harmon and McMahan took the No. 1 doubles match 8-1. Norsworthy and Guevara won 8-6 at No. 2, and Jake Davis and Reid took the No. 3 match 8-3.

Phillip Dendy claimed an 8-2 win at No. 4 singles for Sylvania.

GIRLS: The Lady Wildcats downed the Lady Rams 7-2.

Lauren Story (8-1 at No. 1), Jacy McPherson (9-8, 7-2 at No. 3), Megha Amin (8-6 at No. 4), Abby Fraebel (8-3 at No. 5) and Madden Ragen (8-0 at No. 6) earned singles wins for Fort Payne.

Story and Caity Walker prevailed 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Fraebel and Ragen won 8-4 at No. 3.

Shalane Bell took the No. 2 singles match 9-8 (9-7) for Sylvania. Natalie Hitchcock and Paige Dendy claimed the No. 2 doubles match 8-6.
