Hornets to host youth football skills camp

The Ider High School football team will be hosting a youth football skills camp at the school’s football field on June 26-27.

The camp’s activities will start at 8 a.m. and wrap up at 11:30 a.m. on both days.

All young football players entering kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to register.

Camp participants will go through speed and agility training, stance and body position drills and will work on catching and ball handling skills as well as blocking and tackling technique with the Ider High School football coaching staff.

The cost to register for the camp is $30 per child and parents can make checks payable to Ider Football.

Registration will take place an hour before the first day of camp at the high school football field. All camp participants will receive a camp T-shirt and will need to being shorts, a T-shirt, cleats and running shoes.

For more information, or for questions about the camp, contact Ider head football coach Brent Tinker at 256-605-1617.
