Plainview High School’s girls tennis team finished Monday what it started last month.

The Lady Bears handed Victory Christian a 7-2 setback at the Northeast Alabama Community College in the continuation of a Class 1A-3A, Section 4 match interrupted by rain March 22.

Casey Miller (8-1 at No. 2), Abigail Hampton (8-2 at No. 4), Cassidy Hood (8-1 at No. 5) and Avery Holt (forfeit at No. 6) picked up singles wins for Plainview (8-2, 3-0).

Taylor Pack and Miller took the No. 1 doubles match 8-2. Madison Johnson and Hood prevailed 8-4 at No. 2, while Hampton and Holt claimed an 8-2 win at No. 3.

At NACC, Nathan Pierson (8-1 at No. 1), Tyler Blevins (8-3 at No. 2), Kyle Coots (8-0 at No. 3), Will Biddle (8-2 at No. 5) and Dylan Clark (8-3 at No. 6) earned singles wins for Plainview (4-5, 2-1).

In doubles, Pierson and Blevins won 8-4 at No. 1. Coots and Josh Chapman took the No. 2 match 8-0. Biddle and Clark were 8-3 winners at No. 3.

CANCELLED: Sylvania’s match at DAR was cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.
