The Sylvania Rams varsity tennis teams pulled off a sweep of the Fort Payne Wildcats on the road Tuesday.

The Lady Rams pulled off a 9-0 shutout of Fort Payne and the varsity boys team held on for a 7-2 win over the Wildcats.

The Lady Rams had each of the top six players win their singles and doubles matches.

In singles action, Lacey Hall won 8-2, Audrey Schrader won 8-1 and Sarah Smothers won 8-3.

Natalie Easterby and Melinda Little both won their singles bouts 8-5 and Baylee Blevins edged her opponent 9-7.

The Lady Rams won all three of their doubles matches by scores of 8-0, 8-4 and 8-1.

On the boys’ side, Kenyon Stover won his singles match 8-2, Jordan Johnson won 8-4, Drake Justus won 8-5 and Clayton Wilks won 8-0.

In doubles action, Jarred Higgins and Mason Sanders won their doubles mated 8-4, the team of Stover and Justus won 8-2 and Wilks teamed with Logan McCullough to win their doubles match 8-1.
