Both Fort Payne boys and girls’ tennis teams swept Dade County (Georgia) on Monday.

The win came after the teams both fell at Sardis on March 3.

In the boys’ singles matches, Jamie Edwards won 7-0 and Noah Benefield, in his first match since injuring his ankle, won 7-3.

Marcus Chaney won 7-0, Will Scott won 7-1, and then Tyler Berry and Byrum Emory finished the sweep winning 7-0 and 7-2, respectively.

In boys’ doubles competition, Edwards and Benefield won 7-0, Scot and Chaney won 7-2 and Austin Weldon and Berry won 7-2.

On the girls’ court, Abby Frabel and Anna Parai each won singles matches at 7-2 and 7-1, respectively.

Madden Ragen won 7-2, Kaitlyn Beach won 7-0, Bethany Bares won 7-2 and Allison Martin won 7-4.

In the doubles matches, Frabel and Ragen won 7-3, Parai and Bares won 7-0 and Beach and Martin won 7-0.
