The Wildcats varsity baseball team fell again Tuesday, this time to the Boaz Pirates.

The Pirates defeated Fort Payne 11-1 in five innings.

Fort Payne fell to 2-9 on the season after the loss.

The ‘Cats lost a pair of games to Oneonta on Saturday.

Trey Bailey took the loss for the ‘Cats. Bailey threw four innings and gave up seven hits and five runs (two earned), one walk and he struck out two. Michael Gilliland pitched a two-hitter against the ‘Cats. He had eight strikeouts.

JC Groat and Jordan Bain each had one hit for Fort Payne.
